Hearthfriend at Home

Dogs had always been part of my life just as a family pet, until I got my first Cavalier, Saffy, in 1998. I thought I was just lucky to find a dog with such fantastic temperament, intelligence, faithfulness and sporting nature. I then went on to discover that all cavaliers have these amazing qualities!

Well that was it – I got the bug. I now have seven Cavaliers. My dogs are all very much part of the family and live in the house. They adore snuggling up with us on the sofa and make a very effective warm blanket in the winter!

Breeding a healthy litter of puppies is a job I take very seriously. All breeding stock is heart and eye tested annually and MRI scanned ‘A’ for Syringomelia I am a Kennel club assured breeder which means I abide by the Kennel club rules set down to ensure the health and welfare of brood bitches and their offspring.

Prospective owners of Hearthfriend puppies are carefully selected and I offer full support throughout the puppy’s lifetime. New owners are offered lifetime support and if at any time they are no longer able to care for their Cavalier it can come back to me. My puppies are important to me and I like to keep in contact with owners and get occasional pictures and news.

I get enormous pleasure from the company of my Cavaliers and love them dearly. I would love to hear from people who share my passion for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels as pets or show dogs.
